1. Curb mold formation: Make your home immune to mold formation. Before embarking on your mold removal regime, eliminate any moisture source in the house.


Moisture triggers its growth and hence it is important to work on ventilation system. Clear gutters and downspouts and drain water completely.


Also, repair any pipe leaks and water damage caused during the flood. You can install exhaust fans or a dehumidifier to cease moisture completely.


2. Restrict mold exposure: Inhibit exposure to mold or mold spores. Inhaling mold spores can cause lung disease. Wear masks, goggles, rubber gloves as a precautionary measure.

Use concentrated vinegar on kitchen tiles & bathrooms. You can also use a bleach solution and ammonia to kill mold.


6. Cleanup after mold remediation: Post remediation, dispose of garbage bags. Immediately wash clothes with hot water.
